Region One Branding & Templates
With my marketing team, we collaborated on our branding packet, making sure general staff was knowledgeable about colors, fonts, and logo usage. My key contribution was creating custom web templates for workshops and conferences.
Staff previously would spin up Google Sites without branding guidance. I devised a set of templates they could choose from depending on their event size and budget.
This led to fewer rogue Google Sites, easier processes when updating sites, and faster spin-up time.
Why we created these templates
We learned a valuable lesson early on when a department contracted its own website for conferences and services. We later asked the contractor if we could retrieve the company materials and ownership of the site.
The contractor could no longer access it after moving states and misplacing the login credentials. The department also had not paid for outright ownership, leaving us with no practical way to retrieve what we needed.
Texas Incentive Allotment Hub
A custom site created as a centralized hub for information and resources for one of our teacher incentive programs Texas offers state wide. The program had its own unique branding requirements, which we had to adhere to. We learned the importance of maintaining our own infrastructure so this one was built up to exist within our CMS ecosystem.
